Recap Of 2014!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I cannot believe that it is officially 2015!  Honestly, I do not really have much in store for 2015. I am just waiting to have a good year filled with happiness and good health. But I do want to recap on what happened in 2014 because it was a pretty big year for me.

The biggest event that happened in 2014 was that I graduated high school! Class of 2014!

Now this was an extremely big deal for me because I did not even know if I was going to be able to graduate this year because of my health. But I persevered and worked my butt off and I was able to graduate! I think I am ready to talk about my health story and just tell the world what I have been through. But this was hands down the biggest achievement that I have made.

The second big event was Prom!

I had more fun getting ready and taking pictures than I actually being at prom. But that is okay! I think this was the second biggest deal because I was unable to go to my junior prom. So I was super excited about being able to go to prom with some of my really good friends and be able to show everyone that I am healthy and happy. Plus, I loved being pampered like a princess and being able to get all dressed up.

The third biggest event that happened in 2014 was that I succeed in a college summer program and was able to actually get into college!

This is Emily, she was my best friend during the program and I could not have gone through it without her. This program was an extremely big deal because it was 5 weeks and we had to learn a whole semester course in those 5 weeks. It was extremely challenging but I could not be thankful enough for it because without it, I would not be at the college I am now and I would not be in the honors program. This was a extremely big deal because I was never really good at school because of my anxiety and stomach problems but being able to go through this 5 week program and show everyone that I am ready for college and I am ready to move on with my life was really surreal.

The fourth biggest thing was that I met my two best friends this year, Jill and Rachael.

These two have made this first semester possible. We have literally been through more than most people have in four months but we made it! I could not have asked for two better friends. These two people will be in my life forever and I am just so grateful for them. I am so proud of you both and so happy that I can call you both my friends. I love you :D

How could I forget another extremely big event , I started college!

Now I am not going to lie, going off to college and living away from home was extremely hard. Like harder than I expected. I am not going to lie and say I had an easy transition because I did not. I cried so much and begged to go home. But I did it and I have officially finished my first semester of college! This was an very interesting semester. I had a lot of highs and lows but that's what life is about. I am really happy with where I am and I am super excited to start my next semester of college. People have asked me if I have grown a lot during my first semester and honestly, I do not think so. I think I have been through so much over the past couple of years and this semester really showed me how much stronger I have become. I think I have become more aware of people and different situations but overall, I do not think that I have changed to much. I think I have just become more aware.

Now this doesn't really apply to me specifically but FIFA happened!

I LOVE FIFA SO MUCH! If you do not know what FIFA is, it is the world wide soccer tournament. Basically it is like the Olympics but for soccer. FIFA happens every four years and it is absolutely amazing. There are tons of soccer games all the day long and literally it is my favorite thing. I am really sad that USA did not get closer to winning but I am really happy for Germany because they did extremely well throughout the tournament.

The last biggest event that happened in 2014 was that I turned 18!

These cupcakes were the best cupcakes that I have ever had! But I have always been the youngest out of all my friends so it was kind of a big deal that I turned 18. But I am extremely happy that I am finally 18.

So those were the biggest events that happened in 2014. Of course there were a ton of memories that were made but these were definitely the top memories of 2014.

I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season and I hope that 2014 was an amazing year for you. But hopefully 2015 can be even better than 2014. I hope you all have a wonderful day/evening and have a wonderful new year!

My next blog post will be telling you all my favorites for 2014. Most of it is beauty but I will be putting some random favorites at the end.

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post!

Carpe Diem,
Sophia

Invisible Illness Series: Support

Hello everyone! Today's blog post is going to be a little emotional but I feel like it will probably help so many of you all. One thing I have noticed with having Endometriosis is how many people just do not get it. They do not understand why I am constantly in pain. They think that the pain that I am experiencing on a daily basis is something that everyone experiences. It is not. People who suffer from chronic pain can go hours at a time in excruciating pain that honestly is indescribable. And even then if people physically see you in pain, they do not care. They just think you are either faking it or being over dramatic. Well to those people I have this to say, you should be ashamed of yourself. Why would anyone fake being in agony for hours at a time. Why would anyone feel the need to be stuck in bed for a long time just because they just "don't feel like getting up". I have a feeling that many of you have experienced people like that in your life. Well let m

Review: Victoria Secret Seamless Racerback Bra

Hey everyone! So I never see anyone reviewing sports bras! So today I decided to review one! Now I HATE sport bras. Every sports bra that I have ever tried either suffocates my boobs (TMI...sorry!) or they are way to lose to support my boobs when I am working out. Now I am addicted to Victoria Secret Pink. I absolutely love every thing they have. I own way to much stuff from them so when I saw this new sports bra, I had to try it. It is the  Victoria Secret Pink Seamless Racerback Bra ! First Impression: I got it in the tie dye color in blue. When I first got it in the mail, the first thing I thought was how soft it was. Then I saw that it was a very thin material. I thought it was going to be a little thicker like most sports bras. I was kinda afraid that it will show my nips. (TMI!) I got it in a medium. First Time Wearing It: The first time I wore it was not to work out but to school. I got so many compliments from my friends. They all thought it was different because of

Book Review: Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs

Another book review!? Yes! Today I have another book review for you all and it is going to be a good one! So this novel was one of the galleys that my mom got for me at BEA. (Book Expo America) Just a warning is that this novel does not come out until September 23. But you can always pre-order it if you are interested. The novel is called  Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs .  Now I will give you a little background about why I read this book. When I was in 6th grade, my Biology teacher put on the show Bones for us to watch. And from that day to 10th grade, I wanted to be a forensic anthropologist. Now to this day I love forensics, I think it is super fascinating but I am just not good at biology. Anyways, the show Bones was based off of Kathy Reichs and her life as a forensic anthropologist. Now a forensic anthropologist is someone who studies human bones and  figures out what happened to that person. How they died, if they were murdered, did they have any health problems, stuff
