Life Update: Surgery, College, Summer, and Weight

Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all doing well. I have not done an update post in quite a while and there has been so many things that have happened to me or are going to happen to me that I thought you all should know about. I am not only doing this to benefit myself as this is kind of a journal for me but for also with people who are struggling and simply need to know that soon, everything will be okay. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. So the first major news I have to tell you all is that I am getting surgery! What? Why? Is that really necessary? Well, for your information, I have been very sick basically since January with my Endometriosis pain. I have been in excruciating pain and have been also bleeding a lot. I know....TMI but its important to know. As some of you may know, when you have Endometriosis, your not supposed to bleed or have your period at all because it spreads the disease. Well I would be going a month and 1/2 straight having my period. So my d...

Recap Of 2014!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I cannot believe that it is officially 2015!  Honestly, I do not really have much in store for 2015. I am just waiting to have a good year filled with happiness and good health. But I do want to recap on what happened in 2014 because it was a pretty big year for me. The biggest event that happened in 2014 was that I graduated high school! Class of 2014! Now this was an extremely big deal for me because I did not even know if I was going to be able to graduate this year because of my health. But I persevered and worked my butt off and I was able to graduate! I think I am ready to talk about my health story and just tell the world what I have been through. But this was hands down the biggest achievement that I have made. The second big event was Prom! I had more fun getting ready and taking pictures than I actually being at prom. But that is okay! I think this was the second biggest deal because I was unable to go to my junior prom. So I was ...

My First Month of College!

Hey everyone! Long time no talk! I am really sorry that I have barely posted any blog posts for you in what seems like years. I have been super busy adjusting to everything that has been going on but I want to let you know that I am back. I have decided that on Sunday morning's, I will just sit down and write blog posts for the week so you guys can have good content. So as you know, I am in college. Now I have a lot of interesting things that have happened to me. So let's get started on my first month at college! August 30th: Move In Day! Now this might sound really weird to some of you, but I really did not want to go to college. I was getting really nervous the week before and I just was scared that I was not going to like it. So I moved in a day before everyone else because I am in the Honors Program and that was an option that we had. So my roommate was moving in the next day, so I was basically alone for the night. It was extremely hard, I am not going to lie to you....

Life Update: Robin Williams, Ferguson, College

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA lately. I have been super busy because I have been getting ready for college and also my cousin was here! So I just wanted to spend time with her and my family. But now I just want to talk to you all. First I want to talk about Robin Williams. I hope you all knew him and his greatness. He was an incredible comedian, actor, and a great person in general. He inspired so many people, including myself. One of my favorite movies of all time is Dead Poet's Society. I think everyone should see this. It is such an inspirational film. This film inspired me to become a better actresses as well as a better person. Because of Robin Williams, I always try to seize the day. So thank you Robin Williams. I also want to touch on how he could always make someone laugh. He played a genie, a radio station DJ, Mrs. Doubtfire, and a gay man who owns a night club on the strip in Miami. All of these movies made everyone laugh. His talent to just say whatever he wan...

My Summer Experience: 5 Week College Program

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well. I took a little break from blogging because I just wanted to relax because I'm officially done with school! So now that I am done with school, I really wanted to start doing a college series because I have learned a whole bunch of tips and tricks while being at school for 5 weeks. Now, I will tell you about my experience and things that I learned and all that stuff.  Why I decided to do this summer bridge program: Well as you know, I was severely sick during high school and because of that, I missed a lot of school and my grades went downhill. Now, I tried really hard with the SAT's, I even took it three times. But unfortunately, because of how bad my SAT scores were and my high school grades, I knew that I might not have been able to get into a 4 year college. So my guidance counselor told me about the summer bridge programs at different colleges. I applied to my top school's summer bridge program. I just had to check off t...
