First Impressions: The Nudes Palette by Maybelline

Hello everyone!
It is finally Friday! Woot woot! I am officially out of school. So excited! But that is not the point! haha The point is that today I am doing my first first impressions! Now, this palette has been taking the beauty community by storm. So when I first saw a tutorial on it by shaaanxo. I love her and her tutorials. I think they are incredible. Anyways, because of her, the next day I got the palette and I am reviewing it for you today.

Packaging!

I really like the packaging. I think it is a nice sleek compact palette. I think this would be a perfect palette for travel because it is small to put it in your travel bag. I also love that you can see the colors. Sometimes I hate that you can never see the colors in the palettes. But because you can see all the colors, there is no room for a mirror. Personally, I do not mind but some people may.

Now on to the eye shadows!

So here are every single eye shadow that it is the palette. There are no names for each of the shadows. Now, some of these eye shadows are extremely pigmented as you can see. Unfortunately, some are not. The lighter eye shadows are not that pigmented unfortunately. Some of these colors you can barely see in the picture. I am really disappointed in those eye shadows. Those eye shadows are the ones that are extremely beautiful. Now I did not try to wet the eye shadows and then swatch them, so that might help with the pigmentation. Also, some of the swatches took one swipe. Others took at least 5 swipes before any pigmentation showed.

My First Impression:

I like this palette. I think some of the colors are absolutely gorgeous, others not so much. I also think that this palette is not needed in every ones collection. The reason why is because of the pigmentation. I mean if all the eye shadows were pigmented, than I would say, this is a must have palette. Also, this would be a perfect palette if the black was more opaque because you can then use it for liner.

That is my opinion on this palette. I hope you all enjoyed this blog post. I enjoyed writing it. I hope you all have a wonderful day/evening.

Carpe Diem,
Sophia

Battle of the BB Creams!

Hello everyone! Now as you all can tell, I love the Battle of the series. The reason why is because I can review a bunch of products for you all in one blog post. Since it is summer and not many of you want to wear a ton of make up, I thought I would tell you my favorite BB creams. I also want to let you know that there might not be many blog posts in the month of July. The reason is because I am in college at the moment and I am super busy. I will try to put up as many as I can but I just want to let you all know! :) I hoped you all had a wonderful June! What is a BB cream?    Now BB stands for blemish balm. A BB cream is supposed to have a moisturizer, primer, concealer, skin treatment and foundation all in one. BB creams have been all the rage for a while now but not many people talk about them anymore.   NOW LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE! Round 1: This is the  L'oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream . This BB cream was one of the first BB creams that ...

Must Have Nail Polish for Spring!

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Now that I have started talking about spring, I am so ready for it!  My last post  was about my favorite spring trends for 2014 and today I want to talk about nail polish! I love nail polish. It makes me so happy when I am writing notes and all of a sudden I look down and see my nails painted in a pretty color. It brightens my day! It's all about the small things in life. Essie's Play Date This color just screams spring to me. This is one of my all time favorite nail polishes and every time spring and summer comes around, this is the first nail polish I put on.  You're Such a Budapest This color is gorgeous. I do not personally own this color....yet! I will be getting it this spring because this is like a lavender/periwinkle purple. This color is a perfect color to transition color from winter to spring. Essie's Sand Tropez  This is another color that I don't own.....but I will. I honestly think ...

First Impression: Sephora Favorites Meet Your Match!

Hello everyone! I am super excited to be doing my first first impression blog post! Yay! Now I got this a while ago but I have not really touched it or played around with it. A first impression is basically my opinion on these products and how I think of them the first time I swatch them, use them , stuff like that. Now this is a value set from Sephora and it is the  Sephora Favorites Meet Your Match .  Now this was pretty popular among some YouTubers a while back and I really liked the products and wanted to try them and it was only $25 for 6 sample size products. Which I thought was a pretty good deal.  Packaging:  I love the packaging. I thought it stands out because of the bright colors and the interesting print on the cardboard. I also love the concept of matching you lip gloss to your nail polish. I thought it was a really fun idea for summer.  Match 1: This is the first lip product that I want to tell you all about an...
