Bye Bye Frizz

Hola Everyone!
I hope you are having an amazing day! So as many of you know, I have extremely curly hair and it is always frizzy. No matter what I do, I cannot make my hair stop being frizzy! It is super frusturating! But lately I have been doing a few things differently to my hair that is helping it not be as frizzy. Hopefully these tips and products can help you out. So let's begin!

1) Braid your hair

Try to braid your hair every night before you go to sleep. The reason why is when you are sleeping, you are constantly moving and your hair is rubbing against the pillow causing friction. When you wake up, your hair is a wild mess, well mine usually is. But when I put my hair in a braid, it tames down the frizz and my hair does not look as crazy as when I didn't have it in a braid. I hope this makes sense.

2) Deep condition your hair once a week.

This is one of my favorite deep conditioners and it is by Aussie. The reason why I recommend deep conditioning your hair once a week is to bring moisture back into your hair. If you use a lot of product or heat, your hair needs a break and by putting moisture back in your hair, it will help tame the frizz. Plus moisture is the cure to frizz.

3) Use Mousse

This is another Aussie product I use and it is the Catch the Wave mousse. What I like about this is it is very light weight, it does not leave your hair feeling like it has product in it. What I usually do is put it on after I get out of the shower and my hair is wet. Then leave my hair up in a a turban and let the mousse soak in. Some people blow dry their hair. Personally, I hate blow drying my hair unless a professional does it because it always comes out extra frizzy.

4) Use Moroccan Oil or Argan Oil
This is the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil and it is a very good oil that helps nourish your hair. Only put it from your ear down towards your ends. If you put it in your roots, your hair will become oily. I did a whole blog post on the importance of oils Here.

5) Do not rub your hair with a towel

This is the number one cause to frizzy hair is when people rub out their hair with a towel. You either pat your hair dry or you ring your hair out and then put into a towel or I put it into those towel turbans. But this goes back to the friction, when you rub your hair against that towel, it is make your hair frizzy and tangled.

Well I hope you enjoyed these 5 tips to saying goodbye to frizz. If you have any questions please let me know. I am not a hair expert but these tips have worked for me and I wanted to share it with you all. I hope you have a wonderful day/night!
Carpe Diem,
Sophia

Beauty and Random Favorites for 2014!

Happy 2015 Everyone! I hope that the start of 2015 is going well for you all. I am super excited to be sharing my top 2014 products with you. At the end of the blog post, I will be sharing some random favorites as well. I hope you all enjoy! Face: I have two favorite foundations for 2014. The first one is a high end foundation and it is the  Tarte Amazonian Clay 12- Hour Full Coverage Foundation . I have the shade Medium-Tan Honey. This is my special occasion foundation. Since it is pretty expensive ( $38) I do not want to use it every day. My favorite part of this foundation is how much it looks like skin on your face but it looks like a more flawless version of my skin. But I personally do not like the cake face look and I like the more natural look and this foundation gives it to me. The second foundation is from the drugstore and it is the  Loreal True Match Super-Blendable Make up . I am in the shade W3. I heard about this foundation all over YouTube but ...
