Why Is Moroccan Oil Great For Your Hair?

Moroccan Oil has been very popular for a couple of years now. Many brands have come out with their own version like Organix and Josie Maron. But the first company that created Moroccan Oil was Moroccan Oil. Now I have never tried the original moroccan oil, I have only tried different versions of it. But today I decided to tell you all why Moroccan Oil is so great for your hair. Most people just hear good things about it and get it but I think everyone deserves to know why. Why is it so good for your hair. Plus I was curious myself.

What is Moroccan Oil?
According to Self.com, Moroccan Oil is actually argan oil that comes from a specific tree in Morocco. Since the oil is very rare because of the small quantities, that is why it is so expensive. Originally it was used for cooking because of all the fatty acids it has in it. But then they found out that Moroccan/Argan oil is also good for the skin as well as the hair.

Benefits of Moroccan oil?
-Shiny
-Takes out some of the frizz
- Adds moisture to dry/damage hair
-Adds extra moisture to skin
-Might help with Psoriasis

Downside of Moroccan Oil?

-When someone uses Moroccan Oil in cosmetics, it might not be the best idea. The reason why is because Moroccan Oil has a high concentration of Oleic acid, which can make you have clogged pores as well as irritated any acne.
-Another reason is some moroccan hair care lines put silicone into their products. So be careful when you are searching for the right moroccan oil for you.

Apparently, if you like using hot hair treatments, using moroccan oil works just as well. All you have to do is heat it up until it's warm mabye 45 seconds to 1 minute in the microwave. Then apply to hair and put a plastic shower cap over your head and wait for 30 minutes. ( Info)

I personally love the Organix Moroccan Oil and the Josie Maron Argan Oil Hair Serum

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post! I found most of my information from :

Hope you have a wonderful day/night!

Carpe Diem,
Sophia

Book Review: Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs

Another book review!? Yes! Today I have another book review for you all and it is going to be a good one! So this novel was one of the galleys that my mom got for me at BEA. (Book Expo America) Just a warning is that this novel does not come out until September 23. But you can always pre-order it if you are interested. The novel is called  Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs .  Now I will give you a little background about why I read this book. When I was in 6th grade, my Biology teacher put on the show Bones for us to watch. And from that day to 10th grade, I wanted to be a forensic anthropologist. Now to this day I love forensics, I think it is super fascinating but I am just not good at biology. Anyways, the show Bones was based off of Kathy Reichs and her life as a forensic anthropologist. Now a forensic anthropologist is someone who studies human bones and  figures out what happened to that person. How they died, if they were murdered, did they have any health p...
