Shaving Essentials 101

Hi Everyone!
I hope you are all doing well! I have an exciting blog post to share with you all! For years, I have been trying to find the perfect shaving routine. Honestly, shaving your legs is extremely hard. You have to make sure you don't cut yourself, to miss a spot, let's just say it's a lot of work to shave your legs.
So for years I have been testing out different products and honestly I have found the perfect shaving essentials that will keep your legs nice and smooth but also minimize quick growth. Sometimes, there are times where I use a shaving cream or a razor and the next day I feel the hair is thicker and just not very appealing. So I am excited to share my shaving secrets with you all today!

The most important part of shaving is your razor. A razor is extremely important because honestly, if you have a bad razor, than you will have a bad shave and that is not so cute. I have tried many razors but the razor that I find is the best is the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Skin Razor

The reason why I love this razor so much is not only is because it specializes in women who have sensitive skin. It also has a sharp razor but I find that I do not cut myself as much as I had before with other razors.
Another reason why I love this razor so much is because it is affordable and also the razor itself does not get dull after a couple of uses.

The next most important aspect of shaving to me is an exfoliate. An exfoliate is extremely important not only to rub away the dead skin that is on your body but it is important because it pushes the hair out of their pockets or the bumps you see on your leg and pushes them up so you can shave. My favorite exfoliate that I just found recently but it is incredible is the Bath and Body Works Foaming Sugar Scrub

This is probably the nicest yet a harsh body scrub I have ever used. But at the same time, it is not so harsh that I feel like I am rubbing off more skin than I should. But these scrubs are expensive but they are 8 Oz and also there is always the buy 3 get 2 free always going on at Bath and Body Works. And they have a bunch of different scents, I just got this for summer but trust me, this is not only great on the legs but it is also amazing to exfoliate for your whole body as well.

Now shaving cream is personal. A lot of my friends use conditioner and they love it. Personally, I need an extremely foamy shaving cream. With that, I feel like I can see where I have shaved and the places I have missed. My favorite shaving cream is the Skintimate Moisturizing Shave Gel Sensitive

This shaving cream is probably my ride or die shaving cream. It foams up really nicely but it is not to thick where I cannot get a nice shave. I also think that products that are specific to sensitive skin are the best. Not only because this shaving cream does not break me out but I also believe that it is light weight compared to other shaving creams I have tried.

And the last but certainly not least and personally my favorite is moisturizer! I believe moisturizer is the most important part of this shaving routine. I believe moisturizing your whole body every day maybe even twice a day because your skin constantly needs moisture. I have learned this from my abuela (grandma). She constantly moisturizes and she is over 80 years old and she honestly looks 50. So because of her, I constantly moisturize. But when you shave, I believe you need a thicker cream to really keep your skin healthy and moisturized after basically scrapping hair off of your body. So my favorite body cream specifically for after shaving is the Bath & Body Works Moonlight Path Ultra

* The one in this photograph is a different product but in actuality it works exactly the same.

Moonlight Path is hands down my favorite scent of all time from Bath & Body Works. But you obviously can use whatever moisturizer you love. But I feel like this is thick but not to thick that I feel like it actually soaks into my skin rather than just lay on top of my skin. These moisturizes are expensive but personally I feel like these are some of the best moisturizers on the market and I have tried a lot of different moisturizers.

And that my friends is my shaving essentials 101. I truly enjoyed writing this blog post up because honestly, shaving is so important not only in the summer but always! If you have your own shaving essentials 101, please write a comment and let me know! I love trying out products! Also, if you want to see any other types of blog posts please let me know!

I hope you have a wonderful day/evening wherever you are!

Carpe Diem,
Sophia

Invisible Illness Series: Support

Hello everyone! Today's blog post is going to be a little emotional but I feel like it will probably help so many of you all. One thing I have noticed with having Endometriosis is how many people just do not get it. They do not understand why I am constantly in pain. They think that the pain that I am experiencing on a daily basis is something that everyone experiences. It is not. People who suffer from chronic pain can go hours at a time in excruciating pain that honestly is indescribable. And even then if people physically see you in pain, they do not care. They just think you are either faking it or being over dramatic. Well to those people I have this to say, you should be ashamed of yourself. Why would anyone fake being in agony for hours at a time. Why would anyone feel the need to be stuck in bed for a long time just because they just "don't feel like getting up". I have a feeling that many of you have experienced people like that in your life. Well let m

Review: Victoria Secret Seamless Racerback Bra

Hey everyone! So I never see anyone reviewing sports bras! So today I decided to review one! Now I HATE sport bras. Every sports bra that I have ever tried either suffocates my boobs (TMI...sorry!) or they are way to lose to support my boobs when I am working out. Now I am addicted to Victoria Secret Pink. I absolutely love every thing they have. I own way to much stuff from them so when I saw this new sports bra, I had to try it. It is the  Victoria Secret Pink Seamless Racerback Bra ! First Impression: I got it in the tie dye color in blue. When I first got it in the mail, the first thing I thought was how soft it was. Then I saw that it was a very thin material. I thought it was going to be a little thicker like most sports bras. I was kinda afraid that it will show my nips. (TMI!) I got it in a medium. First Time Wearing It: The first time I wore it was not to work out but to school. I got so many compliments from my friends. They all thought it was different because of

Book Review: Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs

Another book review!? Yes! Today I have another book review for you all and it is going to be a good one! So this novel was one of the galleys that my mom got for me at BEA. (Book Expo America) Just a warning is that this novel does not come out until September 23. But you can always pre-order it if you are interested. The novel is called  Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs .  Now I will give you a little background about why I read this book. When I was in 6th grade, my Biology teacher put on the show Bones for us to watch. And from that day to 10th grade, I wanted to be a forensic anthropologist. Now to this day I love forensics, I think it is super fascinating but I am just not good at biology. Anyways, the show Bones was based off of Kathy Reichs and her life as a forensic anthropologist. Now a forensic anthropologist is someone who studies human bones and  figures out what happened to that person. How they died, if they were murdered, did they have any health problems, stuff
