Review: Blush Tan

Hello!
I am super excited to do this review for you all today. Now, for many years a bunch of people I know have been going to the tanning beds and to get spray tans. Now most of the people who go tanning always look orange or splotchy and not natural. Now I was really skeptical about going out tanning. But I really wanted to be tan for prom. So my mom found this place called Blush. It is organic sunless tanning.  So I read a couple of reviews online and everyone said that they loved it. It is kinda like a spray tan but what they do is they look at your skin color and put it in their color system. Then depending on how dark you want to go, they choose the color.

This is what I looked like before Blush tan:

First Impression:

When I first called to schedule my appointment I was really nervous because I did not know what to expect. I mean this was the day before prom and I did not want to look orange. So when I scheduled my appointment, the lady was extremely nice and explained the whole system and what she would recommend for me. Now I specifically told her that I wanted to look like J-Lo and she told me no problem, that when I get there, they will spray me once and if I wanted to go darker, we could go darker.

When I went in for my appointment:

I was super excited because prom was the next day and I was ready to be tan! I went to the place in Westborough. The young lady who did my spray tan was very kind and I felt comfortable around her. I did not wear a bra because I did not want tan lines because my dress was backless. Now I am warning you that when you get sprayed, it's cold. Like really cold. I had goose bumps the whole time. But it was super quick. She sprayed me once and then I looked in the mirror to see if I wanted a little darker. I went a little darker because 1) I love being tan and 2) I felt being tan would look better with my dress color. Afterward I dryed myself off and then left. She told me not to take a shower until the next day.

This is what I looked like the next day:

This was taken at my hairdressers house with her two chihuahua. They are so cute. But as you can tell, I am extremely darker compared to the first picture. I was super happy with the results.

My Opinion:: I think that everyone should go check out Blush Tan. I think they do an incredible job. They are fairly priced and you do not turn orange. I REPEAT, YOU DO NOT TURN ORANGE. This tan lasted me about 6 days. I still have some of the tan left on me but only in some areas.

So definitely check out Blush Tan. I think you get your money's worth plus they do a great job. Let me know if you go see them and your opinion on them. I hope you all enjoy this blog post!

Carpe Diem,
Sophia

Beauty and Random Favorites for 2014!

Happy 2015 Everyone! I hope that the start of 2015 is going well for you all. I am super excited to be sharing my top 2014 products with you. At the end of the blog post, I will be sharing some random favorites as well. I hope you all enjoy! Face: I have two favorite foundations for 2014. The first one is a high end foundation and it is the  Tarte Amazonian Clay 12- Hour Full Coverage Foundation . I have the shade Medium-Tan Honey. This is my special occasion foundation. Since it is pretty expensive ( $38) I do not want to use it every day. My favorite part of this foundation is how much it looks like skin on your face but it looks like a more flawless version of my skin. But I personally do not like the cake face look and I like the more natural look and this foundation gives it to me. The second foundation is from the drugstore and it is the  Loreal True Match Super-Blendable Make up . I am in the shade W3. I heard about this foundation all over YouTube but ...

Summer Foundation Routine 2015

Hi Everyone! I have been wanting to do this blog post for a couple of months now but I really wanted to test out the product and make sure that I really stand by my opinions. Everyone in the beauty community has been talking about the  L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation . I have been using my ride or die foundation, the L'Oreal True Match Foundation for years. So I was a little hesitant to try out a new foundation. Once I have found something I love, I don't like to stray away from it. I went to a couple of different places to figure out the best price for the foundation. This foundation can vary from $11 to $13, depending on where you go. I got mine at CVS because I had a coupon. I got my color in 107 Fresh Biege. I want to tell you two very important things about my skin. I have a yellow undertone to my skin and I have dry skin. Especially in my T zone area. So if you have a pink undertone, I do not recommend this foundation. Most of the ...

Must Have Nail Polish for Spring!

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Now that I have started talking about spring, I am so ready for it!  My last post  was about my favorite spring trends for 2014 and today I want to talk about nail polish! I love nail polish. It makes me so happy when I am writing notes and all of a sudden I look down and see my nails painted in a pretty color. It brightens my day! It's all about the small things in life. Essie's Play Date This color just screams spring to me. This is one of my all time favorite nail polishes and every time spring and summer comes around, this is the first nail polish I put on.  You're Such a Budapest This color is gorgeous. I do not personally own this color....yet! I will be getting it this spring because this is like a lavender/periwinkle purple. This color is a perfect color to transition color from winter to spring. Essie's Sand Tropez  This is another color that I don't own.....but I will. I honestly think ...
