I hope you all are doing well! I am so excited that it is finally April! As some of you know I'm a senior in high school so I have one more month left of school and then I'm graduating! It's really weird but I am excited! Are any of you graduating? Well March was a pretty good month. I have more random favorites than beauty favorites but I have been getting more products to try out for you all so more reviews will be coming up soon!
So my first beauty favorite is probably the most used and most loved product of this month. It is the NYX Roll On Shimmer in Salmon.
It is absolutely beautiful. It is a gold, coral shimmer. It makes any eye look ten times better. Whenever I wear this product, I get so many compliments. From customers at work to my friends at school. You do need a sticky base underneath or else the product will not stick. It looks good with any base, I have especially been loving a taupe base. This would look good on anyone, with any skin tones and eye color. I have brown eyes and personally, I think it looks really nice. I highly recommend this product. Plus it is really inexpensive. I got mine at CVS.
Speaking of taupe bases, my next favorite is the Clinique Chubby Stick in Lots o' Latte.
Now I know I have put this in my favorites a couple of months ago but I just freaking love this! This is probably the best base that I own. It goes with anything and it suits any eye look. I am kinda obsessed. I have been loving pairing it underneath the NYX Salmon roller ball. It just brings out all the gold under tones. I rub it all over my eye and then lightly rub it out so it's a light taupe color and put the Salmon roller ball on top of it. Then I just put mascara on and I look liked I spent hours on my make up. SO easy! I highly highly recommend this product!
My next favorite has been a cult favorite in the YouTube community. Now it took me a long time to get this lip gloss and it is the NYX Mega Shine Lip gloss in Beige.
This color is PERFECTION! That is all I have to say about it. It works with any make up look whether you are going all natural or doing a going out look. I am so obsessed with this color because I don't even have to think about it when I put it on. It never looks bad. Plus, it smells so good! It smells like a candy store. So whenever I put it on I get this whiff of a candy store. Plus this lip gloss is not sticky at all. I highly recommend this to anyone. Even if you are not into lip gloss. This is just your lips but better lip gloss.
Since this winter has been so harsh, my skin has been freaking out! I have no idea why. One day it's dry, the next day it's oily. So I started putting on the Josie Maron Argon Oil Light as my night moisturizer.
Best decision ever! This made my skin feel like a baby's bum! I do not put it on every night as my moisturizer but when my skin is having a really bad day I put it on. Or if I am wearing make up for over eight hours. Many of the Youtubers I watch say this is more oily than the original Josie Maron Argon Oil. I personally have been really enjoying it because it is keeping my skin at bay.
My last favorite is something for my curly curly hair. It is the Josie Maron Argon Oil Hair Serum.
Now I got a sample size from Sephora and it has lasted a really long time. You only need a pea size amount. I have been putting this in my hair when my hair is extra dry and it needs a little more nourishment. I recommend this to anyone who has curly hair and dry damaged hair. I do not recommend putting this in your hair every day, maybe every other day. It is that rich.
Now on to my random favorites!
I had so many this month but my top one will not be a surprise and it is the movie Fruitvale Station.
This movie changed my life. That is all I am going to say about it. I made a whole blog post about it, Here.
I had a lot of movies this month this saying. The next movie I saw was The Book Thief.
Now I had to read the book for school a couple of years ago and I loved it. I cried and fell in love with the story. So when the movie came out I was hesitant to watch it. I get really attached to books so when movies are created based on the book, I get nervous. But my mom was like let's watch it and it was so good! It stuck to the plot of the book. No important details were left out and nothing was added in. The actors did an amazing job . I was crying so much at the end. 1) because it was sad and 2) because it was beautifully done. I know I am a book lover. But I highly recommend you to read the book first then see the movie. It was a really touching film.
The next movie won two Oscar awards and that is Dallas Buyers Club.
Alright, Alright, Alright. This movie was incredible. The acting was so raw and you felt like you were there suffering with the characters. Jared Leto did an incredible job. I did not even recognize him at all. I was blown away by his performance. I think this is Mathew McConaughey's best performance. He put it all out there and it showed. I do not recommend this to anyone under 17. This is a very intense movie. It has a lot of sex and drugs in it as well as really tragic topics. But I do recommend this movie because it gave a voice to everyone who has been suffering with Aids and who has died from Aids. It showed how hard it was and still is for them. This movie was for them.
My next favorite is a novel. Now I have heard so much buzz about this novel and I have never read it until now. It is the novel, 1984 by George Orwell.
Oh boy was this novel good. This man, George Orwell, is a genius! He predicted so much of what would happen in the future it is kinda crazy. This novel is about a man named Winston Smith who lives in a dystopian society. The nation is called Oceania but he is living in London. The government is called The Party and they are constantly watching everyone. There is no privacy, no freedom of speech, nothing. It is about Winston's journey and what happens to him. I honestly can't say anything else or I would give it away but ugh! so good. I think every single person needs to read it. Especially if you love history. You will understand why when you read it.
My last and final favorite is an album. It came out in the beginning of March. It is Girl by Pharrell.
Now I love Pharell. I think he is incredible. He is so talented and I just have such a big crush on him. Especially after he shimmied with Meryl Streep at the Oscars. Anyways, this whole album is the bomb.com. It has some slow songs, some rap songs, some up beat songs. Three of my favorite songs are Happy, Come Get it Bae, and Marilyn Monroe. But I love all the songs but those are my top three. You all should get the album because it is amazing! Here
