The Importance of Moisturizing!

Hi everyone!
Sorry I have been MIA for the past couple of days. The reason why is because I got my wisdom teeth out and I have been busy with school as well. So I apologize, but I will get back to blogging every other day. Since I for disappeared for a couple of days, I decided to do a blog post on moisturizer. My friends ask me a lot about my skin care routine and why moisturizer is so important. So this is for them!

What is the point of moisturizer?
The point of moisturizers is to re apply the moisture that was taken out of your skin after you washed your face. There are a couple of different kinds of moisturizers; a light moisturizer, a deep moisturizer, and a regular moisturizer. It really depends on your skin type whether you have dry, oily, or combo skin.  Moisturizer is the last step in your skin care routine. You should moisturize morning and night.

Why do we need to moisturize?
The reason we have to moisturize is to just re apply the moisture that is lost after you wash your face or when your skin feels dry.  I know I repeated this in the beginning but it is that important. People do not understand the point of slathering some cream on your face. It just helps your skin look it's best.

What moisturizer do I suggest?
I have two moisturizers that I love. One is the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.
This is probably my favorite moisturizer. The reason why is because it lasts forever because of the big container. Also, this moisturizer is so soothing and light weight that it doesn't even seem like you put moisturizer on your face. This moisturizer is the more expensive one but if you have problems with finding a good moisturizer, definitely try this one. The only thing that I do not like about this moisturizer is that it smells kind of funny. I do not really know how to describe the scent, but the moment you put the moisturizer on your face, the scent goes away.

My next favorite one is the Aveeno Positively Radiance Daily Moisturizer
This one moisturizer is more affordable for anyone who does not want to spend a lot of money on a moisturizer. I really like this moisturizer because it is light weight but you can feel that it is putting moisture back into your skin. ( Can you tell that I really like light weight moisturizers?) Also, this is really important that this moisturizer has SPF. Most moisturizer do not but this one does so you do not have to add an extra step to your skin care routine. Putting on SPF is really important and this moisturizer is a 2-in-1.

I know this is a simple blog post but I feel like everyone needs to know why we need moisturizer instead of just being told that it is good for your skin. I hope you all enjoyed today's blog post. Sorry I have been MIA but I am back! :)
Carpe Diem,
Sophia

Must Have Nail Polish for Spring!

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Now that I have started talking about spring, I am so ready for it!  My last post  was about my favorite spring trends for 2014 and today I want to talk about nail polish! I love nail polish. It makes me so happy when I am writing notes and all of a sudden I look down and see my nails painted in a pretty color. It brightens my day! It's all about the small things in life. Essie's Play Date This color just screams spring to me. This is one of my all time favorite nail polishes and every time spring and summer comes around, this is the first nail polish I put on.  You're Such a Budapest This color is gorgeous. I do not personally own this color....yet! I will be getting it this spring because this is like a lavender/periwinkle purple. This color is a perfect color to transition color from winter to spring. Essie's Sand Tropez  This is another color that I don't own.....but I will. I honestly think ...

First Impression: Sephora Favorites Meet Your Match!

Hello everyone! I am super excited to be doing my first first impression blog post! Yay! Now I got this a while ago but I have not really touched it or played around with it. A first impression is basically my opinion on these products and how I think of them the first time I swatch them, use them , stuff like that. Now this is a value set from Sephora and it is the  Sephora Favorites Meet Your Match .  Now this was pretty popular among some YouTubers a while back and I really liked the products and wanted to try them and it was only $25 for 6 sample size products. Which I thought was a pretty good deal.  Packaging:  I love the packaging. I thought it stands out because of the bright colors and the interesting print on the cardboard. I also love the concept of matching you lip gloss to your nail polish. I thought it was a really fun idea for summer.  Match 1: This is the first lip product that I want to tell you all about an...

January Random Favorites 2015!

Hello Everyone! It is my first favorites blog post of the new year! How exciting! So January was not a good month at all for me. I was extremely sick and I was getting back to college and  I moved dorm rooms so I was adjusting to that as well, so that is why I don't have any make up favorites. I started wearing make up and playing with make up during the last month of January so all the make up that I have been loving will be in my next favorites. But January was all about movies and TV shows. My first favorite of the month and the biggest favorite in January was Reign. If you love Vampire Diaries. You will love this show. Reign is just ..... no words can even describe how good it is. It is about Mary Stuart, the Queen of Scotland and how she has to marry Prince Francis of France, soon to be the king of France. The whole show is based on what happens in the castle between Francis and Mary as well as France and Scotland. This show is filled with passion, danger and streng...
